Change of managing director at WOERNER

On October 1, 2021, the long-standing managing director of Eugen WOERNER GmbH & Co. KG, Dr. Sven Schultheis, will retire. The management will be taken over by the great-grandson of the company founder Eugen Woerner and son of the main owner Matthias Kärcher, Alexander Kärcher.
Dr. Sven Schultheis has served as managing director of the Wertheim-based company with a long tradition since 2004. During this time, important milestones were set, such as the introduction of a new ERP system, the new building in the Hafenstraße and the complete relocation of the company. The sales network - especially WOERNER-KINSSON in China - was greatly expanded. Last but not least, it should be mentioned that Dr. Schultheis led the company through the crisis of 2008/2009 without having to make any redundancies. Training as well as social projects such as Technolino or the Creative Minds were also a matter close to his heart. The development of products for the wind energy sector, which today accounts for a large share of the company's sales, was strongly pushed by him.

The management will now be taken over by Alexander Kärcher, who, after studying mechanical engineering, worked for many years in a leading position at a gear manufacturer and joined the family business in 2019.
